The popularity of feature films notwithstanding, television remains the biggest medium of entertainment and advertisement in India. This is a fact well understood by Bollywood producers and nowadays one often sees film stars appearing on popular television shows. Whether it is Salman Khan performing a Garba with Daya Bhabhi on ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma’ or John Abraham wooing the bindas Haryanvi cop Chandramukhi Chautala on ‘FIR’, it is becoming increasingly essential for films to be publicised on the small screen.

In keeping with this trend, actors Shahid Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor; the hot new couple of ‘Mausam’, will soon feature in a special episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 5. The popular quiz show has consciously broadened its platform this time to reach out to the audiences in remotest parts of India. Obviously, featuring on the show will accrue some positive publicity for Shahid – Sonam and their film. So excited was Sonam about being a part of the legendary show that she even posted on twitter, "Doing #kbc with @shahidkapoor today! What an auspicious day to start promotions together..,"

‘Mausam’ marks the start of Pankaj Kapur’s foray in the field of direction and is reported to have a time transcending storyline. The songs of the film have already become pretty popular and the chemistry between Sonam and Shahid is looking better and better with each promo.

Mumbai, Friday 29th of April 2011 (BSNS)Update: 12:23 P.M. (UTC) Thousands of people are now heading down the Pall Mall for Buckingham Palace, where Kate and William will emerge onto the balcony in about five minutes.

Update: 12:28 P.M. (UTC) William and Kate step onto the famous balcony for the first time as a married couple to a crowd of thousandsand make the famous kiss. They are followed by Elizabeth II, and other members of the royal family and the Middleton family, onto the balcony. Down below, the onlookers wave Union Flags and cheer the newlyweds.

Update: 12:49 P.M. (UTC) A Lancaster bomber, flanked by a Hawker Hurricane and a Supermarine Spitfire, have flown over Buckingham Palace in a tribute to the Battle of Britain. They were quickly followed by two Eurofighter Typhoon fighters and two Panavia Tornado.

Update: 01:02 P.M. (UTC) Kate's dress was one of the most anticipated parts of the wedding, and everyone watching was kept in the dark until the last minute. As she stepped from the car and into the Abbey, it was announced that the designer was Sarah Burton, who worked as the creative director for the late Alexander McQueen. In a statement this afternoon, she said,
"It has been the experience of a lifetime to work with Catherine Middleton to create her wedding dress, and I have enjoyed every moment of it. It was such an incredible honour to be asked, and I am so proud of what we and the Alexander McQueen team have created. I am delighted that the dress represents the best of British craftsmanship."

Burton had continuously denied that she was the dress designeruntil today. It was made at Hampton Court, and as Kate travelled from her hotel to the Abbey, the dress attracted much criticism, and it has already been praised by fashion designers. Burton added:

"Catherine looked absolutely stunning today, and the team at Alexander McQueen are very proud of what we have created. The dress was just one component of a spectacular day, and I do not think it is appropriate to comment any further beyond saying that I personally am very grateful and honoured to have been given the opportunity to work on this project."

Update: 01:30 P.M. (UTC) Elizabeth II is now hosting a lunch reception at Buckingham Palace, where 10, 000 canapes will be served alongside the wedding cakewhich has been kept just as secret as the dress. It has now emerged it is made up of 17 individual fruit cakes, which form eight tiers. Decorated with white icing and cream, it boasts more than 900 individually iced flowers. Guests have also begun to describe the wedding. "Like everybody in England I wish them all the very best,"said George Tupou V, the king of Tonga, who was in the Abbey during the ceremony. "I think this wedding marks a page in England's ancient and distinguished history. It's a glorious day for England, I think."

Update: 02:07 P.M. (UTC) Paddy Harverson, the official spokesperson for the royal couple, has said that although the two will appear in public over the next few months, Kate will need to adjust to life in the family. "Prince William is taking the lead on this and he has said that he wants Catherine to be given the time and space to grow into the role,"he said. Meanwhile, the mood seems to be dampening on the Pall Mallwhich, it turns outmight not have been the best place to see the kiss on the balcony. Much of the crowd appears to blame it on police crowd control tactics, who put up barriers in poorly chosen locations. "We might as well see it in a pub,"said one woman. "We'll just have to imbibe the atmosphere."

Well, we do agree that, all of them have been achievers and super-achievers in their own right of the word. But, besides all of this gyaan, the one word that binds them all with Lara Dutta is PETA.

You got it right. Readers may recollect that Bollywood Hungama had broken the news of Lara being chosen the latest ambassador of PETA. Well, now, we bring to the images of the sultry Lara in a spectacular full-length gown made of lettuce leaves and other vegetables. For starters, it's the ace Gavin Miguel who has designed the dress, while it's the ace fashion photographer Jatin Kampani, who is to be complemented for shooting the ads.

Speaking about PETA, the sensuous Lara said, "Even seemingly small choices can have a big impact on our health, our community and the world around us. Going vegetarian is one of the easiest ways to improve our health, help countless animals and protect the Earth."

They met when Michael visited the spectacular $38 million Bel Air mansion, where Kites was being filmed. Michael was hoping to buy and make the mansion his new Neverland.
The 'Thriller' singer had reportedly been trying to seal a deal for the 15 bedroom mansion for seven years.
Recalling the encounter Hrithik reportedly said, ""I've been a huge Jackson fan since childhood. So dad [Rakesh Roshan, the films producer and fourth person in the photo] requested the mansion owner that we'd like to come over and meet Jackson. Instead he turned up in the room to meet us. That meeting is etched in my memory."
Kites, a Bollywood romance thriller has been remixed for International release by filmmaker Brett Ratner, known for films such as The Family Man, Red Dragon, the Rush Hour series, and X-Men: The Last Stand.
Kites: The Remix premiered in New York on Sunday, May 16.

Be it at award functions or press conferences or on your favorite reality show, SRK is leaving no stone unturned to promote his big release. What's more, he also features on the cover page of leading men's magazine GQ in the February issue.

King Khan, as he is fondly known as, is seen sporting a disheveled, spiky look and holding a placard which states 'Where's The Love?' The actor talks about a wide variety of topics in this issue such as his equation with the Bachchans, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan to his oddest quirks. Speaking about quirks, SRK says, "I have a strange attachment to socks. They should feel right. I could be missing a flight, but if my socks are wrong, I have to take them off. I won't wear nylon socks with sneakers. The only time I get disturbed during shooting is over my socks. You can't give me brown socks. I hate different-coloured socks."

His mere presence may bring a smile on many faces and yet it's surprising to know that the one thing SRK finds difficulty in doing is to laugh on screen. "I can't laugh at will on screen. I have a big issue. It's been years since I had a big laughing scene. I can't laugh in real life either; I smile a lot. When I suddenly laugh with my kids or close friends, they stop and stare at me. I laugh maybe once in two years."

SRK also comes across as a clean person when he states, "I don't cheat. I've never had the desire to cheat anyone - financially, emotionally, or romantically. It doesn't mean I am the most morally upright person. I just think cheating is quite low. "

Sajid Nadiadwala, producer of Anjaana Anjaani befriended Sly during his last film Kambakkht Ishq where Stallone played a role. And now, he has promised his lead pair a meeting with Sly.

Sajid confirms, “Ranbir and Priyanka want to meet him. I’m flying down to Las Vegas to join them on January 27.

We’ll be meeting Stallone on the February 4 or 5.” Sajid and his young son Subhaan were supposed to meet Stallone during the New Year. But Stallone injured his neck and the appointment was cancelled. Now a new date is being worked out. Adds Sajid, “I think Ranbir and Priyanka will kill me if I go without them to see Sly. Ranbir, a big Stallone fans owns a series of Rocky T-shirts. He intends to get a couple of them signed by the star.

New Delhi, Jan 25 (IANS) Bollywood star Aamir Khan, enjoying unprecedented public acclaim with his hit film "3 Idiots", has been conferred with Padma Bhushan, the nation's third highest civilian honour. The 44-year-old, who struck gold at the box office with his latest outing "3 Idiots" that grossed over Rs.375 crore at the worldwide box office, is already a recipient of the Padma Shri. Known as a perfectionist, Aamir began his film career as a child actor in his uncle Nasir Hussain's "Yaadon Ki Baraat" (1973) and then featured in "Madhosh" (1974). He made his debut as full-fledged actor in Ketan Mehta's "Holi" (1984) however, he achieved overnight stardom in 1988 with "Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak". He followed it up with his first national award winning role in "Raakh" and successful movies like "Dil" (1990), "Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin" (1991), "Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar" (1992), "Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke" (1993), "Andaz Apna Apna" (1994) and "Rangeela" (1995). Khan continued to act in just one or two films a year and still does the same. Other hits of Aamir are "Raja Hindustani", "Ishq" and critically-acclaimed "Ghulam", "Sarfarosh" and "Earth". In the new millenium, he appeared in hits like Oscar-nominated "Lagaan". In the same year he featured in "Dil Chahta Hai".
